Come celebrate Sylvia Larane Green-Chatman's new book of poems, Gift of Life, at a Book Release/Signing on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the T. J. Jemison Baptist Student Center at Southern University, 724 Harding Blvd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Sylvia will read select poems from her book and have signed copies available for $10.00. Also, enjoy poetry readings from other Baton Rouge poets such as Leroy Young, Sr.; live music from Earvin "The Maestro" Foster and recording artist, Ava White; refreshments; and door prizes. The emcee will be Cassandra Lang, founder/director of Create Your World Foundation, radio and TV host/producer of The Cassandra Lang Show.
