LIGO -Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory in Livingston, LA.
Beginning in September will be open to the public on the third Saturday of each month for "Science Saturday". Taste Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream, explore science, and learn more about how we are exploring our universe on September 19th from 1:00-5:00. During each Science Saturday, visitors can meet a LIGO Scientist, tour the observatory, discover, and explore over 40 exhibits in LIGO's Science Education Center, and experience a variety demonstrations related to the work going on at LIGO. No Reservation Necessary. Free of Charge.
